After the inevitable delays – the old temporary bamboo classroom was needed for exams; the school closed for a month for festivals and then a shortage of materials and labor – work has finally started on rebuilding new permanent classrooms for this school.
The kids have been moved outside into the sunshine for class and the old bamboo has been stripped off to reveal the metal truss structure that the new building will be built around and foundations are being dug.
If all goes to plan, we hope to have it completed by mid February if not before.
